Meeting up with Dr Leo Beranek

Dr Leo Beranek is a world famous acoustician, a former MIT professor, and a founder and former president of Bolt, Beranek and Newman (BBN Technologies). He has written several classic textbooks on acoustics, has participated in the design of numerous concert halls and opera houses throughout the world, and in 2002 the President of the United States awarded him the National Medal of Science in Engineering.

Dr Leo Beranek, visiting Australia for the third time, presented a very special lecture on concert hall acoustics at the Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music on 19 August 2010.
