Sydney’s Observatory Hotel has been rated the 11th most luxurious hotel in the world. The chic hotel flew the flag for Australia in one of the most comprehensive rankings in international hotels released. A combination of its historic location, staff, restaurant and jetlag flotation tank saw the Observatory ranked 11th in New York’s Zagat Survey and Australia’s best hotel. The glowing review, based on guests’ first-hand reports states:
“A marvellous alternative to high rises, this understated small gem in a handy, historic Rocks district location, houses Galileo (one of the city’s best restaurants); a great concierge and friendly staff and noteworthy too, but it’s the other worldly flotation tank (aka the jet lag tank), just the ticket after a long flight, that garners the most notice; small wonder that this classy boutique hotel (and member of Orient-Express hotels) has been voted No.1 in the city and the country”.
Renzo Tonin & Associates was responsible for the acoustic design of the project.
