RONDA is used to accurately measure tyre-pavement noise at the source allowing each specific pavement type to be characterised over many kilometres and in normal traffic. This data and information is used to certify new and renovated roads; to profile existing roads and to assist in quantifying the extent of road noise and its impact on nearby and surrounding communities.
RONDA is unique in that tyre-pavement noise testing can be done using both the Close Proximity (CPX) and the On-Board Sound Intensity (OBSI) methods concurrently and on two-wheel paths, making RONDA world-leading.

RONDA has been used to measure tyre-pavement noise on many roads, including:
Bangor Bypass (A6)
Hunter Expressway - Longitudinal Diamond Grinding
Eastern Distributor - Sydney
M1 Pacific Motorway - Tugan to Eight Mile Plains
